IPAM - Managing Public Address blocks?

I was wondering if IPAM can be configured to managed public address blocks?  I know you can add subnets any way you like, but I'd like IPAM be able to access an external DNS server, like Google's 8.8.8.8, and resolve the hostnames for our IPs so I do not have to do it manually.
